First Entry - TNT

Welcome to my blog! I've taken the idea of my friend Carmen to start a blog about my progress through my triathlon training with Team In Training. This blog will be a great source for updates on my training, my fund-raising (donate donate donate!!!!), and for pictures to show you just what I'm up to!
First, there is some explaining that needs to be done. Team In Training (TNT) is a group that trains people like me for an event while also raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We are each pledged to raise a certain amount of money based on the difficulty of our event and how much training it requires. The more training, the more we fund-raise! The money we earn for LLS goes towards the research of blood cancers, funding grants so this research can take place, and to also improving the quality of life for those who are battling blood cancers. LLS is truly a great charity as every penny is used solely for all the above described items.
Team In Training sets us up with a great set of training and coached practices to make us better athletes, bond a group of people together who are training for a triathlon for different reasons, and showing us examples of how beneficial the team's donations can be.

With all of that explained, now is the time to tell all of you about how I'm managing and how your donations are helping me reach my goal. So, donate if you haven't, and join my team!

We have just come back from an intense weekend of camping and training at Lake Lopez in San Luis Obispo. It's a beautiful area, and we got to see a lot of it on our open water lake swim, 20 mile bike ride, and an hour long run! Photos in this entry are from the camping weekend!
